Maintenance Job Application
Grounds keeping, minor repairs and painting make up most of the work. The major requirement is care and, once you get the swing of it, speed. An aptitude for, and ideally experience in, manual work is important. Maintenance positions run only from May 12 to late June or, one position only, from May 12 to July 31 or August 1 until as late as October 18.

A standard workweek is 40 hours. More hours of maintenance work at the cottages are usually available, up to a maximum of 60 hours. Pay is based on an hourly rate. For 2006, the basic pay rate is $12 an hour. Bonuses go up to $4 an hour--increasing as the level of skill, speed and initiative is demonstrated and improves--are calculated and paid at the end of the job commitment.
